A warm voice on the dancefloor

Tiina and Clarice have been a dream team since 2015 — among others for the Berlinale and the IDM Film & Music Commission Südtirol. What began as a collaboration has become a close friendship — and an interplay that barely needs a word of arrangement any more.

Tiina Tuomi was born in Berlin and trained as a jazz singer. For twenty-five years she has been on stage with changing projects — with the Ballhaus Band, with Sole Exception, in duos such as Tina und Sam. Her mezzo is warm and darkly coloured, and it doesn’t look for a genre so much as for the evening: soul, downbeat, the big pop moments, and a standard when the room is ready for one. In the duo with Clarice she sings over the running set, without ever drowning it out.
